As with many top drivers Chris started karting at the age of 10 in Vietnam where his dad worked in the energy sector. Chris competed in karting events around the world racing in countries such as Singapore and Dubai as his family moved for his dad’s work. It wasn’t long before Chris started beating more experienced kart drivers, and in these early years he was becoming a candidate for the top classes in motor sport.
The opportunity to move up to the next natural stage didn’t take long. The family found the money to buy a race prepared Ford Fiesta ST which raced for a few rounds the end of the 2014 the Scottish Ford Fiesta Championship ST Cup Class. In the 2015 season Chris finished 6th overall in the championship, with 5 podiums, quite an achievement for his first full year.
2016 saw team owner David Sleigh come knocking and he offered Chris a seat in one of his racing Mini Coopers for the season.
Chris is a great racing driver, a serious competitor and a great prospect for the future of motorsport…blink and you’ll miss him.
